Biggest Week of the Year

The week we have been dreaming of all year has finally come. The team is excited and ready to see what God has in store for us come Saturday. The CSF House has been the most supportive and encouraging group of people this team could ask for. With the support of our family and friends, this long, exciting, and grueling semester has been everything we have imagined and more. With a second place qualification we have set ourselves up for success and need to focus on racing intelligently come Saturday. We know the expectations that come with being on the front row of the biggest collegiate cycling race in the country. Though there are obvious pressures that coincide with having the #2 on our jersey, we realize that our greater goal on Saturday is to reflect God’s grace, mercy, and love to the spectators and teams we are racing against.

With the race team set and everyone knowing their role for race day, our week will be slightly different than the average college student here in Bloomington. While many people will be partying, the team will be watching our diet and recovering, getting ready for the race we have been thinking about all year. With this week comes a great deal of stress and anxiety waiting for the one day we can race in front of thousands of people and proclaim the gospel through our actions. For the team, I need to ask of one thing and that would be prayer. Prayer for safety and relief from the stresses of school work and pressures that come with participating in the Little 500 and most importantly to represent Christ throughout this week in everything we do both on and off the cinder track.

For those who have not been to the race, we want to personally invite you to come support us and watch one of the best collegiate events in the country.  We want to thank you for your support and love throughout a crazy year. We look forward to representing a house that loves, cherishes, and impacts a campus that sometimes does things contrary to our beliefs. We believe God has put this specific team in the race for a reason and we are excited to see what God is going to do through simply riding a bike around a cinder track 200 times!

Blessings,
